At ATTO, we understand that we have a responsibility to protect your personal data and respect your privacy. This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect, how and why we use your personal data, and how we store (it)your personal data. We would like to reassure you that while we have updated our Privacy Policy, the way in which we process (collect, use, store and delete) your data has not changed. This notice also sets out your rights under the new GDPR laws. DSSC may be both data controller and data processor for your personal data under certain circumstances. We must advise that this policy is subject to change, so please check our website on a regular basis for any further changes.

Who Are We?
DSSC provides a broad range of B2B IT solutions and services such as installation and maintenance of SW and HW products, IP telephony systems and access control systems. We also provide comms room services and general IT technical support.

How the Law Protects You
Data protection laws state that we are only able to process personal data if we have valid reasons to do so. The basis for processing your personal data includes, but is not limited to, your consent, the performance of an agreed-upon business contract, to contact you for client service purposes, and to enable billing and remittance.

How Do We Collect Personal Data from You?
We usually receive information about you when you contact us by phone, email or otherwise, in respect of any of our service contracts/agreements or during the purchasing of any service products.
If you provide us with personal data about a third party, you warrant that you have obtained the express consent from the third party for the disclosure and use of their personal data.

What Type of Data Do We Collect from You?
The personal data that we may collect from you include:

payment details of your company (only if DSSC needs to pay your company)

Please be aware that any information made available by you on your website, whether published content or not, is not subject to our Privacy Notice. We merely process such data on your behalf or for providing our services to you and you are responsible for any applicable legal requirements in respect of your content.

How Do We Use Your Data?
We use information about you in the following ways, to:

Comply with our contractual obligations we have with you and to provide service products as per the agreed scope of work;

Provide client care, including responding to your requests and when you contact us with queries;

Process sales orders that you have submitted to us;

Help us identify you and to contact you via e-mail or phone;

Issue invoices, process payments and keep track of invoices/payments where applicable.
We currently do not actively market our service products nor distribute any marketing materials.
Third Parties
We do not and never shall sell your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We work closely with several third parties including associated companies, business partners and professional service providers, and we may need to pass your personal data to them for the provision of services on our behalf (for example, passing on invoices with some elements of your data to our accountant for preparing our tax returns). However, we will only ever share information about you when it is required and for specific purposes only, and we ensure your personal data will not be used for any marketing purposes.

We may share your personal data if we are obligated to disclose data in order to comply with any legal obligations or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DSSC, our clients, or others. However, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected. From time to time, your data may be transferred to and stored in a country outside the EEA in relation to provision of the services. The laws in these countries may not provide you with the same protection as in the EEA, however, we will ensure that reasonable steps are taken to protect your data.

Where We Store Your Personal Data
All information you provide to us is stored on our IT database or on the individual storage devices of our employees who oversee our services provided to you. We ensure that reasonable steps are taken to store and protect your data, including the encryption of certain documents (not all documents and not all the times). However, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted during the use of e-mails.
In the event of a data breach, we shall ensure that our obligations under applicable data protection laws are complied with where necessary.
Retention Periods
We will keep your personal data for the duration of the period you are a client of DSSC. We shall retain your data only for as long as necessary in accordance with applicable laws.
On the closure of your account or you have cancelled your contracts with us, we may keep your data for up to seven years. We may not be able to delete your data before this time due to our legal and/or accountancy obligations.

Your Rights and Duties to Update your Data
You have the right to object to our use of your personal data. This is known as YOUR RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN. If you ask us to remove your data, we will delete and stop using your data. However, we would like to remind you that there may be legal and accountancy reasons we may need to keep some elements of your data on documents and records for some time. Also, by exercising this right and preventing the use or processing of your personal data, it may delay or prevent us from fulfilling our contractual obligations to you.
You also have the right to access the information we hold about you. Please email your requests to privacy@dssceurope.com so that we can provide this information for you.
We would like to maintain the accuracy of your data and ensure that all your details, including but not limited to your name, title, phone number, e-mail address and payment details, are kept up-to-date. Therefore, please do let us know of any changes to your data/information. Also, if you discover that we have any incorrect information regarding you or your company, please let us know as soon as possible.
